nLengthsversion 1.0A formula for the Newton Formula app. This app provides a quick converter for units of length. You can use it to convert from one unit of measure to another. It supports, miles, furloughs (hey, I'm in Maryland and we race horses here), yards, feet, inches, kilometers, meters, centimeters, millimeters and itty-bitty microns.Using it is very simple. Install it anywhere, it's card friendly and fully supports card ejects. Please note, you must close the Formula app before ejecting a card. It's the Formula app that Needs the Card, not nLengths.Once you've installed it, you can access it from the Formula app in the Extras drawer. It's listed as Lengths. Tap on the name and nLengths will open. There are two entry fields into you can write or key values. Next to these fields are two pop ups that let you select what unit of measure to convert to and from. Tap on the currently listed unit and a list of other measures will appear. When you select one, it will convert the value immediately to that unit. This app is Shareware. It's $5 and the fee can be mailed to:Bill KearneyThe Novanto GroupP.O.Box 201Timonium, MD 21093-0201(410) 235-4574If you don't think it's worth the fee, at least send me e-mail. My address is:wkearney@access.digex.netSince this method of distribution has been, shall we say, less than lucrative, this product is not permanently enabled. It will cease to operate on May 26, 1994. Registered users will receive an unlimited version that has no time delay. This is part of a series of Formula calculators. There are additional formulas in the series. They are:Lengths - length measureMeasures - volumesArea - square footageTemperature - is it warm in here, or is it me?Speed - just how fast is fast?Typesetting - points, picas and dpiThese can be purchased together for US$29. Checks or money orders only at this time. If you're interested in reselling or distributing this product, pricing can be arranged. These formulas are individual and only the ones you need, when you need them, can be loaded internally, on one card or different cards. Memory can be a scarce commodity on your Newton, now you don't need to load more than you'll ever use.Coming soon:Lengths II - with support for fractionsComputer - hex, decimal, bits, bytes, megabytes and more.Geometry - Degrees, radians, angles, etc...Tips - So, how do I split this check? If you have a specific type of formula tool you'd like created, please get in touch with me.
