The Unabomber Manifesto Memory: 470k RAM free on Newton This is the complete text of the Unabomber Manifesto as printed September 19, 1995 by the Washington Post and the New York Times. The Unabomber is a serial bomber who has managed to escape capture since the 70's. This manifesto was published to fulfill a demand by the bomber whereby he would end his murderous spree. $1,000,000 Reward Beginning in May, 1978, a series of bombing incidents have occurred across the United States for which there is no apparent explanation or motive. No person or group has been identified as the perpetrator(s) of these incidents. The explosions have taken place in eight states from Connecticut to California. As a result of these bombings, three individuals have been killed and 23 others injured, some grievously. No incidents associated with this series of bombings were identified between 1987 and 1993. That changed in late June, 1993, when a well known geneticist residing in Tiburon, California, and a renown computer scientist from Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut, opened packages which had been mailed to them and both were severely injured when these packages exploded. Eighteen months later an advertising executive was killed at his home in North Caldwell, New Jersey. That was followed by a bomb that killed a timber industry lobbyist in Sacramento, CA, on April 24, 1995. The latest bombing was the work of the same perpetrators(s). The UNABOM Task Force is appealing to the public for assistance. For this purpose, a one million dollar reward is being offered for information resulting in the identification, arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible. Letter from the FBI Dear Netters: The information about the UNABOM investigation has previously been made public. Recent print media accounts include: New York Times (12/12/94), San Francisco Examiner (12/12/94), San Jose Mercury News (12/12/94), etc. Earlier media accounts were presented on CBS's "Eye to Eye" with Connie Chung (12/16/93), and Fox's "America's Most Wanted" (11/23/93). Newspaper stores about UNABOM have also appeared: Washington Post (11/27/93), New York Times (10/7/93), etc. The purpose for submitting the information on the Internet is two-fold. First, the Internet is another medium that enables us to reach as wide an audience as possible; to "spread the word." Second, Internet users are precisely the type of individuals that to date have been recipients of explosive devices attributed to UNABOM; scholars and researchers. You are not being asked to place yourself in harm's way. You are encouraged to come forward if you have information that might help identify, arrest, and convict the person(s) responsible for these bombings. Contact the UNABOM Task Force at 1-800-701-2662.
